Search Queries
A name or place entered into a site search tool is transmitted directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Our systems do not retain or record the search terms entered there.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept for the purpose of responding. We keep the message within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the server automatically receives basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when available
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type and version
- The device's IP address

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site publishes general directions to custodians such as the Spencer County Sheriff's Office, the Office of Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Kentucky law, including KRS 17.150, controls dissemination of certain law-enforcement records by the proper public agency. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes appearing on this site. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each partner chooses its own retention and disclosure practices, which we do not direct. Read the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Spencer County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky Court of Justice, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy governs that visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that tracking.

Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to the following recipients when applicable:
